The Senior Step Sing is a cherished Princeton University tradition that takes place annually during Commencement weekend. For more than a century, the Step Sing has invited the graduating class, their families, and the community on the eve of Commencement to participate in an informal and lively sing-along on the steps of Blair Arch at Princeton University. Seniors choose their favorite songs from their time at Princeton, ranging from recent hits to traditional Princeton songs, and lead their classmates, underclassmen, and the entire community in the sing along. The event also allows the graduating class to thank members of the Princeton University community who have supported them during throughout their academic careers at Princeton.
For the Class of 2024’s Step Sing, the rainy weather prevented the event from being held outdoors on the steps of the Blair Arch, and so our team helped the University team to move the event indoors to Jadwin Gym. We helped to recreate the traditional event’s atmosphere and welcomed the community indoors by using tiger stripe lighting, tiger faces, and the year 2024 by using a series of detailed gobo lights on the gymnasium ceiling, above the risers that hosted the graduating class as they sang. Other services we helped support included bistro tables, additional event lighting, as well as an indoor PA sound system.
Special thanks to the Princeton University team for welcoming us to support this fantastic annual event, and congratulations to the Class of 2024!
